Tom Brady Flexes His $1.65 Million Watch At the Grand Opening Of New Las Vegas Casino/Resort

Tom Brady always makes his presence felt, after all, he is the greatest football player of all time. But even his style screams the class that he has shown in the gridiron for over two decades. Which is just what he did at the Grand Opening of Fontainebleau.

Brady was one of the several celebrities that made a starry appearance at the casino/resort in Las Vegas, 16 years after the project broke ground. The NFL legend during the blue carpet event was seen flexing his luxurious watch which retails for a whopping $1.65 million, as per Essential Watches.

The timepiece donned by TB12 was none other than the Patek Philippe 5002R Sky Moon Tourbillion, which he paired with a charcoal grey three-piece suit and a polka-dot tie with black dress shoes.

Watching Tom Brady wear the luxurious timepiece at the event, Senior Watch Specialist Richard Lopez took to Instagram with the details of the watch which was reposted by the seven-time SB champion himself.

Brady’s Custom-Made AP For His Netflix Special Is Up For Auction

Tom Brady is one of the biggest watch collectors in the NFL world if not the biggest. He has almost every watch brand in his collection be it Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, IWC, Rolex, AP, you name it.

His collection is so big that he is rarely seen sporting the same watch twice in big events. Just like in his Netflix special, “The Roast Of Tom Brady,” the NFL legend was seen sporting a one-of-its-kind custom Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, which has its own story behind the making of the timepiece.

In his interview with Sotheby’s, Brady talked about how that custom watch came to be. Many celebrities of his stature don’t have access to the world’s finest watchmakers, but Brady does.

He recalled how it was his friend, François-Henry Bennahmias, who is a former CEO of Audemars Piguet, contacted him to create the iconic watch.

“My friend texted me out of the blue and said, ‘I want to create something for you. Why don’t you work with my friend and designer at Audemars Piguet, Michael Friedman, and figure out what you want to come up with?’” Brady said.

Brady mentioned how Bennahmias wanted him to have a diamond bezel on the dial but since he isn’t as flashy, he denied it at first.

“At the time, I was like, ‘We’re not doing that,’” he added. “He convinced me to do it, and I wore it for the Netflix roast, which was such a fun event.”

The dial features Tom Brady’s name on it with the Roman number VII, referring to his seven Super Bowl wins, making the watch stand out more than any other traditional AP.

The timepiece thus forged became an artifact that now holds great value in Tom Brady’s history books. A traditional AP Royal Oak Tourbillon retails for about $250,000 but this is a custom-made timepiece that now holds a significant value for being a part of the sporting history.

Brady has put the watch up for auction along with several other items from his treasure trove of memorabilia. One can bid on it at the Sotheby’s website where the estimated price range of the watch is 400,000 to 800,000 USD.

The live auction will begin on December 11th, 2024 and there’s no doubt that the watch along with several other of his items will be gone in no time.
