Raiders Superfan Ice Cube Dishes His Theory On Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Slip

Raiders superfan Ice Cube has long voiced his support for Shedeur Sanders, praising the young quarterback’s skillset and pedigree. He believes Shedeur’s experience under the mentorship of his father, Deion Sanders, makes him a valuable NFL prospect.

Before the draft, Cube even suggested Sanders would be a smart pickup for the Raiders, emphasizing his strong football IQ and leadership.

Cube’s consistent endorsement reflects his confidence in Shedeur’s future. His stance isn’t just fandom, it’s rooted in his deep ties to the Raiders and his belief that Shedeur has what it takes to succeed. Despite his strong belief in Shedeur Sanders’ potential, Ice Cube watched as team after team passed on the young quarterback, including his favorite team, the Raiders.

Ice Cube On Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Slide

While Sanders eventually landed with the Cleveland Browns, Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson, shared that the legendary rapper still felt proud of the QB’s achievement.

Jackson admitted his father has “always been a sucker for running backs,” yet believes Shedeur will “break the mold.

Ice Cube didn’t hide his disappointment over the slide but soon revealed what he believes is the real reason behind Shedeur’s unexpected draft position.

Ice Cube Shares His Bold Theory

Ice Cube didn’t mince words when addressing Shedeur Sanders’ unexpected slide in the NFL Draft. “I do wish the Raiders did draft Shedeur Sanders. I think he’s a great player,” he said, clearly disappointed that his favorite team passed on the Colorado quarterback. Still, the legendary rapper acknowledged the Raiders’ decision and offered a bold theory on why teams steered clear.

According to Cube, the hesitation may have had less to do with Shedeur’s talent and more to do with the looming presence of his father, Deion Sanders. “Anybody who drafted him may have been drafting their… the player that would get him fired,” Cube explained. “Because Prime Time want to coach his son in the NFL. So, if there was a bad season… that coach would be gone and Prime would be the coach.

In Cube’s view, it wasn’t just about drafting a quarterback. It was about protecting jobs. “So I guess… they was drafting in their best interest to keep their job,” he concluded.

While Sanders may not have gone early, his landing with the Browns could prove to be the perfect opportunity to defy expectations. If Ice Cube’s theory holds weight, it means Shedeur isn’t just fighting to prove himself on the field, but to shake off the shadow of his father’s legendary legacy.
