Deion Sanders and his son, Shedeur Sanders, added an impressive luxury property to their growing portfolio after purchasing a beachfront mansion in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The home, valued at $5.95 million, offers privacy, oceanfront views, and enough space for both relaxation and football training.
Ownership of the property is split between the father and son. Shedeur Sanders owns 51% of the estate, while Deion Sanders holds the remaining 49%. The purchase was made through Nine Shoys LLC, which initially kept the buyers’ identities private.
Deion Sanders’ New St. Croix Mansion
The property, known as “Copa Caneel,” sits at 9 Shoys in St. Croix and features contemporary luxury throughout. The estate spans approximately 10,500 square feet and includes five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.
One of the home’s standout features is its secluded beachfront location. The property offers direct access to the beach while remaining tucked away from public view. Its layout provides privacy from neighboring properties and passing traffic, making it difficult for photographers or visitors to see inside.
The mansion includes spacious indoor living areas, modern finishes, large windows overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and expansive outdoor spaces designed to take advantage of the waterfront setting. The combination of indoor comfort and outdoor amenities makes it suitable as both a vacation retreat and a long-term residence.
Although the purchase price reached $5.95 million, the ownership arrangement reflects Shedeur Sanders’ majority stake. Public records show the Cleveland Browns quarterback owns 51% of the property, with Deion Sanders retaining 49%.
Deion Sanders Plans Major Upgrades
While touring the estate on Well Off Media, Deion Sanders explained that he already has several improvements planned.
One of his biggest goals is creating a football training area for Shedeur.
“I want to turf this area as well. I’ve got to figure out how I’m going to level this so Shedeur can get some work in this field,” Sanders said.
The Colorado head coach also wants to improve the property’s privacy and add new outdoor amenities.
“I got to figure it out. We have to make sure nobody can see in, and nobody can get close. I’m going to put a little cupboard workout area too, with weights and all that. I want to put a little seating area over here. Want to put one of those cabanas over here as well.”
His plans include installing artificial turf, leveling part of the property for football drills, building a workout space equipped with weights, creating additional seating areas, adding a cabana, and strengthening the estate’s perimeter to limit outside visibility.
During the tour, Sanders could also be seen measuring sections of the property as he evaluated whether there was enough room for football workouts.
Safety Remains a Priority
Privacy appears to be one of the biggest reasons behind the property’s design plans.
Deion Sanders’ focus on security follows a burglary at Shedeur Sanders’ Ohio home in November 2025.
According to reports, three masked suspects entered the residence while Shedeur was away playing at Huntington Bank Field. Surveillance footage showed the suspects walking out from a nearby tree line before entering the home.
The burglars remained inside for about 12 minutes, searched through the house, and took property valued at approximately $200,000.
Despite the incident, Shedeur Sanders maintained a calm outlook when discussing what happened.
“In life, there’s always going to be adversity. I’m in a mental space now to where there’s not too much that can faze me, honestly. And none of my jewelry got taken anyway, so it’s just caught slipping. It happens,” he said.
Authorities later arrested the suspects, but the burglary increased concerns about the quarterback’s safety.
As a result, Deion Sanders wants the St. Croix property to provide a higher level of privacy. His planned perimeter upgrades are intended to make it more difficult for anyone to approach or view the home from outside.
The beachfront estate also gives the family a location where Shedeur can continue training away from public attention while enjoying a secure environment.
With construction ideas already taking shape, the mansion is expected to evolve beyond its current design. Between the planned football field, outdoor workout area, enhanced security measures, and new recreational spaces, Deion Sanders is preparing the property to serve both as a luxury getaway and a practical training base for his son as he continues his NFL career.
