Hoffman Hospice Event in Bakersfield
The Voices of Inspiration fundraiser supports Hoffman Hospice and its daily care services for patients and families in Kern County. The event has a history of featuring well-known public figures, including five-time World Series champion Derek Jeter and Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg in previous years.
This year’s gathering continued that tradition at the Dignity Health Theater. Organizers focused on raising funds to support ongoing hospice care services in the region. While fundraising totals from the evening had not been released at the time of reporting, the organization confirmed the importance of community support in sustaining its operations.
Beth Hofmann, co-founder of Hoffman Hospice, explained the scope of their work and the role of local contributions.
“Hoffman Hospice is what it is – the patients we serve around 400 a day, families and patients. We get to do that because of the support of this community. Tom and I were born and raised here, and we’re very proud of this program, and we love our community, so we get to do this,” Hofmann said.
