Shilo Sanders doesn’t waste time when the jokes are flying. Deion Sanders’ son recently found himself in a hilarious back-and-forth with Shareef O’Neal, Shaquille O’Neal’s son, as the two debated one very serious question: whose legendary father is actually the cheapest. It started casually. Then it escalated fast.
Shilo Sanders, known for his confidence, sharp humor, and close bond with the O’Neal family, leaned into the moment as Shareef fired back with his own stories. The exchange felt less like trash talk and more like brothers clowning each other.
The time ran out too fast. And Shilo insisted the debate wasn’t finished, pushing for a full podcast episode to settle it properly because there were still too many unanswered questions left on the table.
Shilo Sanders and Shareef O’Neal Recount Their Past Experiences
Shilo Sanders and Shareef O’Neal dug into real childhood stories while arguing over whose father was the cheapest. The moment Shilo Sanders posed the question, the tone was set. “Whose dad is the cheapest out of both of us?” he asked before immediately laughing and answering himself. “Mine, mine, hahaha.”
Shareef O’Neal quickly leaned in, admitting he’d always wanted clarity on Shilo’s upbringing. His curiosity centered on the perks, or lack of them, asking whether Shilo ever got denied expensive sneakers like Jordans growing up.
“I always wanted to ask you some questions.” His first question? “So growing up like you like yo pops I want these Jordans he likes like no, that’s how it was for you?”
Shilo’s response was instant and honest. Jordans weren’t even in the picture. For Shilo Sanders, it was all Under Armour, mainly because it was free, practical, and tied to Deion’s long-standing brand relationships. No splurging necessary.
“I wasn’t even thinking about no Jordans growing up. It was straight under armour bro cause it was free,” answered Shilo.
That’s when Shareef shared his own experiences. According to him, rewards in the O’Neal household were simple. Do something good, and Shaquille O’Neal might take the kids to Hooters. That was it. No luxury shopping sprees, nor over-the-top celebrations. Just food and family time.
“If y’all do something good y’all I’ll take y’all to Hooters. That’s all. That was the only reward he go I’ll take y’all to Hooters,” said Shareef.
Shilo fired back with a comparable story, noting that Deion Sanders operated the same way only swapping Hooters for Red Lobster or Golden Corral.
“But I’ll say my dad was like, if you do something good, we’ll go to Red Lobster or Golden Corral,” summed up Shilo.
In the end, neither son declared a winner. Instead, Shilo insisted the conversation deserved more time, promising a sit-down podcast where they could fully unpack every story they ran out of time to tell. Fans couldn’t hide their curiosity for the podcast…
