R&B singer Jacquees is breaking his silence about the ongoing tension with Deiondra Sanders, the mother of his son, Snow Sanders.
In a recent moment that quickly grabbed attention online, Jacquees claimed Deiondra Sanders threatened to keep Snow away from him, sparking new conversations about their rocky co-parenting situation and the challenges behind the scenes.
Jacquees Breaks Down His Co-Parenting Struggles With Deiondra Sanders
Jacquees laid everything out in a long emotional message, saying he’s tried to stay respectful and quiet about his personal life, but the situation with Deiondra Sanders has pushed him to a breaking point.
According to him, every time he attempts to maintain a steady routine with their son, something shifts. He claimed Deiondra Sanders has “threatened to keep me away from my son” multiple times, including during holidays he had already planned for.
He also explained that he “jumps through hoops” for his son Snow, walking on eggshells, agreeing to timelines, and trying to work through issues privately only to feel blocked again.
Jacquees said whenever he tries to address their relationship in a healthy way, tensions escalate. If Deiondra Sanders becomes upset, he says she immediately tries to change the terms, which forces him to pivot and prove his involvement as a father.
He also mentioned feeling blindsided several times. According to Jacquees, Deiondra has popped up “unannounced” during visits, brought their son to see him only because she had errands in Atlanta, and even allowed just a single day with Snow after long periods apart.
He said these moments hurt, because he’s doing everything possible to show up consistently, even going out of his way to adjust his entire schedule around parenting time.
What stings the most for him is the narrative he believes is forming online. The idea of an absent Black father. “She’s controlling. She only wants him around his family to further perpetuate the narrative of absent black fathers,” said Jacques.
He pushed back hard against that, saying the images she posts with Snow don’t erase the way she “controls me through our son.” He also pointed out that the courts are already involved, and he hopes everything soon settles for Snow’s well-being.
Also, Jacquees didn’t hide his frustration, saying, “Women should go to jail for keeping fathers away from their kids.” He followed it up with another message about the love his son has for him, and how he doesn’t want that bond interrupted or redirected.
Jacquees says he’s doing everything he can to stay close to Snow, despite ongoing tensions with Deiondra Sanders. The situation remains complicated as co-parenting challenges continue.
