Shilo Sanders recently opened up during his press conference, revealing just how much he and his younger brother, Shedeur, have been feeling the distance since beginning their separate journeys in the NFL.
“He’s been missing me. He’s been calling me like 6 a.m. He wants some brotherly love,” Shilo shared, noting how Shedeur keeps in touch, even if it’s just over the phone. “His big brother isn’t next to him in practice, but we talk a lot.”
The Sanders brothers have played side by side most of their lives, from backyard games to college football, but now that they’re chasing their NFL dreams separately, the separation is hitting hard. And for Shilo, it’s not just about missing his brother. It’s about how far he’s willing to go, even asking a United Airlines employee for a free flight, just to reunite with Shedeur.
Shilo Sanders Asks a United Airlines Employee For a Free Flight
Shilo Sanders has become quite fond of Call of Duty, often using it as a way to unwind and keep his reflexes sharp while preparing for the NFL. His passion for the video game hasn’t slowed down. In fact, it’s become a regular part of his routine.
But it’s not just about the competition or entertainment anymore. Shilo’s time on Call of Duty has started creating some unexpected opportunities, like posting his streams on YouTube. In one of his most recent streams, he matched with a United Airlines employee during a session.
As the game unfolded, Shilo sparked up a conversation. But instead of just talking strategy, he jokingly asked if he could help him out with a free flight, so he could visit his brother Shedeur in Cleveland, who he says has really been missing him.
It was a humorous but heartfelt moment, showing how far Shilo is willing to go to reconnect with his brother.
“Bro, give me a free flight,” requested Shilo Sanders casually in the middle of his Call of Duty game, never breaking focus as he aimed for another win. With his signature mix of humor and boldness, he added, “Yeah, bro, give me some credits.”
But beneath the playful tone was a genuine reason. Shilo wanted to get to Cleveland. “I need some credits to (fly to) Cleveland so I could go visit Shedeur ’cause you know, he missed me so much,” he explained.
The ask might have come during a lighthearted gaming session, but it revealed something deeper. Shilo clearly misses his younger brother just as much. His request wasn’t just about scoring a free flight. It was about reconnecting with someone he’s shared the field, the spotlight, and his life with.
Shilo Hates Flying
As the game continued, the United Airlines employee responded with an offer that caught Shilo’s attention: “Can offer connecting flights from Tampa to Cleveland.” It was a solid deal, but Shilo wasn’t exactly thrilled about the travel process.
“I hate flying. I’m not going to lie,” he admitted with a laugh, showing that even for family, the hassle of airports still gets to him.
He quickly clarified that it wasn’t fear holding him back, but just the ordeal itself.
“It’s not that I’m scared of flying. It’s just like, you got to get up to the, you got to get a Uber to the airport, walk through the airport, go through security, find the gate, all that stuff bro.”
For Shilo, it’s not flying that’s the problem. It’s everything before takeoff. But despite his reluctance, the idea of seeing Shedeur again might just be worth the grind.
