Hunter, who made headlines in college for playing at an elite level on both offense and defense, is expected to keep that same workload in the pros. According to Parkins, it won’t just be impressive, it’ll be record-breaking. “I think in week one, Travis Hunter will play more snaps than any player has ever played in an NFL game,” he added.

Another game, 44 snaps because of an injury,” Parkins said, suggesting that the average could have gone up even more had he played his normal game.
Even with those setbacks, Hunter’s average still pushed the limits of what most players can manage. That’s why Parkins believes Jacksonville has no hesitation about giving him a massive role right away.
“I think it’s possible that this kid is just different, and the Jags have said that we’re going to play him early and often and a lot on both sides of the ball.” As for the record itself, Parkins noted, “We’ve only been tracking this for about 20 years, 2006, but it was Reed Blankenship and 116 snaps.”
