When Deion Sanders Lectured Shilo For Farting In Class

Shilo Sanders has always been a little mischievous, and sometimes even his dad, Deion Sanders, loses patience with him.

One time, Deion got a message from Shilo’s teacher saying he was disrupting class, and it wasn’t just talking or clowning around. It was because he kept farting on purpose.

Deion wasn’t about to let that slide. He sat Shilo down and questioned him directly, trying to figure out why he thought that was funny or acceptable. What followed was a classic Deion lecture.

How Deion Lectured Shilo

Deion walked straight into Shilo’s room and demanded his son’s attention. Deion started, “Shilo, look at me. You think it’s a game, don’t you?”

Sitting close to him, Coach Prime began reading the message he had just received from Shilo’s teacher.

The message started with, “I have problems with Shilo coming to class on time.” Apparently, Shilo had been arriving late to class, and the teacher was concerned about his lack of punctuality.

Deion kept reading, and things got worse. The teacher had even more complaints about Shilo’s behavior and participation.

“Shilo continues to disrupt my class, is never on task, and at times passing gas while lecture is going on,” Deion read aloud. At that point, his frustration grew. He couldn’t believe how disruptive Shilo had become.

“You farting in class, man?” the agitated Deion asked.

Shilo immediately tried to defend himself. “I had to do what I had to do.”

But that excuse didn’t calm his dad down. Deion shot back, “How are you going to just fart in class?”

Shilo then explained that the teacher didn’t let him go to the bathroom.

Coach Prime wasn’t buying it. He pressed Shilo further, asking why he would sit around and act out for cheap attention. He made it clear that not all attention is worth having.

“How are you just going to sit around fart and try to be the baby?” Deion added. “All attention is not good attention, man.”

Shilo tried again to explain himself. “I wasn’t even trying to gain. I wasn’t trying to…” But before he could finish, Deion cut him off with, “You’re trying to be the class clown.”

Finally, Shilo claimed it only happened once. Still, it was obvious how embarrassed he felt as his dad called him out for his actions.

In the end, the lecture went beyond farting, reflecting on responsibility and self-control. Deion wanted Shilo to understand that his behavior in class reflected on him as a person and also on the family name.

Shilo’s smirk eventually faded, because even if the situation seemed funny at first, his dad’s message was serious: respect and discipline will always matter more than getting laughs.
