Terrell Owens Reacts To Tom Brady Seemingly Lying About No Involvement In Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Snub

When the Raiders passed on Shedeur Sanders multiple times during the draft, one big question came up: how much was Tom Brady involved?

Now part-owner of the Raiders, Brady was asked point-blank if he had any say in the decision to pass on the young quarterback. His answer? He claimed he had zero involvement.

Many believed that to be true until reports came out suggesting that Brady held a secret meeting with the Raiders staff prior to the Draft. It appears that what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas after all.

NFL Insider Claims Brady Secretly Helped the Raiders

Albert Breer dropped a bombshell on the Rich Eisen Show, saying Brady was far more involved in the Raiders’ draft process than he admitted.

“He helped with their QB evaluation. Obviously, who wouldn’t want Tom Brady involved in that? So he flew in incognito for a day to sit down with the front office and the coaches, to go through quarterbacks and look at quarterbacks on tape,” Breer said.

This directly contradicts Brady’s earlier statement and supports what Terrell Owens suspected. In the comments, Owens wrote, “I just told someone the other day that Tom played Shedeur 💯 I’m not surprised.”

Brady had been a mentor to Shedeur Sanders during his college career, often offering guidance and sharing his NFL wisdom. Their close bond made the idea of Brady playing a role in Shedeur’s draft snub seem unlikely, until now.

Breer’s revelation has flipped that narrative, suggesting the legend’s denial wasn’t the whole truth and confirming what many never expected to believe.

How Brady Denied Involvement But Faced Pushback

A few months earlier, Brady was quick to shut down speculation that he played any part in the Raiders’ decision to pass on Shedeur Sanders. Speaking to reporters, he was direct, saying, “I wasn’t part of any evaluation process,” firmly denying the claims. According to Brady, his role as part owner doesn’t extend to scouting or pre-draft analysis, and he insisted he had no influence over the picks.

But veteran sports analyst Skip Bayless called bluff on it early on. Taking to X, Bayless wrote, “Brady reportedly was involved in Raiders’ draft decision making,” doubling down on earlier reports that suggested otherwise.

Bayless went on to say that Brady warned the Raiders against drafting Shedeur. Bayless said, “You obviously vetoed that kid to Spytek!”

His comment stirred up controversy, fueling debate over how Brady may have influenced Shedeur’s snub. As a result, that paved the way for a storyline that fans and insiders can’t stop talking about, especially with the new revelation that has come up.
