How Messy Pilar and Deion Sanders’ Divorce was
Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders recorded one of the messiest divorces of all time. Parked with tons of allegations and court arraignments, the divorce stirred turbulence in the public. Deion accused Pilar Sanders of adultery and domestic violence.
All the efforts were targeted at one thing. Acquiring custody of the kids.
What followed added an emotional toll on the kids. Apparently, the children at one point had to step into court as their parents fueled the custody battle. Seeing their once closely knitted family get torn apart in a court was nothing short of devastating.
After pursuing Deion Sanders in court, Pilar made away with some favorable verdicts. Among those, she was to receive $10,500 monthly in child support. She took custody of their daughter, Shelomi, while Sanders retained custody of the boys.

How Deion and Pilar Sanders’ Split Gave Their Kids a Hard Time
In Deion Sanders’ show, you can see how stressed Shedeur was. The boy we’ve known to keep that broad smile was looking sad. From his frown, you could tell that the divorce had corrupted the peace of mind of the kid.
Seeing Shedeur struggle like that, Deion had to make sure that he was there to comfort him. “I miss you, man. Look at me. You know I love you, right? You love your dad? You love your mom? It’s okay to love both of us. You don’t have to love me and hate her. Or love her and hate me. You don’t have to.”
“I love my babies to life. And right now, what we need is prayer,” said Deion after having a light moment with his son on their show.
Coach Prime continued to encourage his sons to maintain their love for both him and Pilar Sanders. He wasn’t going to let them choose between their parents. He was genuinely concerned with their happiness. In the video, he even teases Shedeur and makes him laugh heartily.
In the mix of all the drama and emotional struggles, Deion Sanders remained strong. He wisely comforted his kids to let them off the stress after the divorce. His steadfast love for his kids is definitely admirable.
And like the caring dad he is, Deion Sanders bravely asked his sons not to choose him over their mom or the other way round. A choice kids struggle with in such situations.
Beyond the field, Deion Sanders proved to be a pro in his fatherhood.
