As Netflix continues to appeal to millions of people around the world, the company is not yet done catching the attention of subscribers and prospects. They continue to grow their audience by adding new shows that appeal to different interest groups, like they have been doing by making sports documentaries.
On May 14, 2025, Netflix made a big announcement for 2026. They’re producing a new series, about Deion Sanders titled ‘Prime Time’, which will focus on the career of the NFL legend.
Deion Sanders Is Coming To Netflix
Speaking to Netflix, Deion Sanders says he’s excited to share his life through the series:
“It means so much to finally be able to tell my unfiltered story, my TRUTH. I was PRIME TIME, then I dropped the TIME and went by PRIME, and now I’m in the third quarter of my life, and they call me COACH PRIME. Y’all knew a part of me each step of the way, but you never knew DEION … and I’m excited to share that with you all — the highs and lows, the truths and tragedies, and everything in between. They can’t stop or contain what God has purposed.”
All set to premiere in 2026, Prime Time Will consist of three 60-minute episodes. It’s currently under production, whereby Netflix has partnered with Skydance Sport, Deion Sanders’ SMAC Entertainment, and NFL Films.
On the executive production team, there are Jessica Boddy and Jason T. Reed, Keith Cossrow, Ross Ketover, and Ken Rodgers of NFL Films, alongside Jesse Sisgold and Jon Weinbach representing Skydance Sports. From SMAC Entertainment, Fred Anthony Smith and Constance Schwartz-Morini round out the team.
The series is an extension of Netflix’s collaboration with the NFL. Netflix has partnered with the QB receiver, Christmas Gameday, as well as another upcoming series, America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, where Sanders will appear.
