Today, Isaiah takes the most pride in his precise route running and sure hands, always ready to make the big catch. Over the past year, he’s grown stronger, faster, and smarter about the game. And has become a promising college football star, getting even his Coach, Miguel Rivas, to root for him.

Isaiah Martinez Dominates at San Pasqual Valley High School Football

The 17-year-old reigns at San Pasqual Warriors as one of the top two-sport talents in the class of 2026. On the football field, his previous (Junior) season stats speak volumes:

  • 49 receptions for 649 yards
  • 269 kick return yards
  • 70 tackles
  • One interception
  • Three pass deflections
  • Two forced fumbles

Those numbers earned him 1st Team All-Region honors at wide receiver, All-Region recognition at defensive back, and multiple accolades, including Yuma Sun First Team All-Region WR, KYMA All-Region DB, and eight Player of the Week awards, and his Hudl Profile is a big proof of his skills.

Meanwhile, in basketball, Isaiah’s junior-year highlights were second to none: 15.7 points, 14.6 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.2 steals per game, along with two First Team All-Region selections. His versatility has already drawn offers from D-1 JUCOs and D-2 programs.

To recruiters, his message is clear: “I always work hard and give 110% no matter what.” Supported by family and football coach Rivas, who pushes him hard and treats him like a son, Isaiah’s biggest dream is to pursue basketball at the college level while continuing to leave his mark on the gridiron.

Coach Miguel Rivas Praises Isaiah Martinez’s Leadership and Growth

When asked about Isaiah Martinez, San Pasqual Valley High School’s head coach, Miguel Rivas doesn’t hesitate to highlight the intangibles that make the 6’3” junior stand out. “Isaiah has great leadership qualities and is not a follower. He does a great job at making sure that everyone is held accountable,” Rivas told Pro Football Action.

Beyond his presence in the locker room, his technical development has been just as impressive. “His catching and route running make him an outstanding prospect at the college level,” the coach added.

Rivas has consistently used his platform on X to advocate for his star athlete, urging recruiters to recognize Isaiah’s growth and potential.

In one post, he praised the wide receiver for doubling his production from sophomore to junior year and catching everything thrown his way. “College Coaches checkout @IsaiahMtz6_ … Don’t miss out on this kid,” he wrote, calling attention to Isaiah’s rare combination of size, skill, and versatility as a multi-sport athlete.

Isaiah Martinez isn’t just chasing stats; he’s building a reputation as a leader, competitor, and teammate who elevates everyone around him. With his family, coaches, and relentless work ethic behind him, his future in both football and basketball looks wide open.
